Ben graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011 with a 2:1 in Law before gaining a Distinction on the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester in 2012.
Following his academic training, Ben completed a two year training contract at international law firm DLA Piper in England before qualifying into DLA Piper’s Real Estate team in September 2014. Ben’s time in England included a six month client secondment to Tesco’s in-house legal department and working with the firm’s Manchester, Liverpool and London offices.
Ben then relocated to, and qualified to practice in, Northern Ireland in January 2017 working at a large Irish law firm in Belfast as an Associate in their Property team before joining Davidson McDonnell in October 2018 as a Solicitor specialising in Commercial Property.
Ben is able (and continues) to act for clients across both jurisdictions on a range of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals and a variety of landlord and tenant matters; having acted for a number of institutional investment clients and pension funds during his time in England in particular. Ben is also experienced in assisting with the various commercial property aspects of corporate and finance matters.
