Lindsey Harten

 

Lindsey is Legal Director in our Finance team specialising in restructuring and insolvency.

Lindsey has acted for insolvency practitioners, secured and unsecured creditors and companies on a significant number of complex and high profile insolvencies in Northern Ireland. Lindsey also routinely advises lenders in relation to security enforcement and debt restructuring matters.

Lindsey’s practice also extends to general finance work for a range of borrowers and lenders with particular experience in refinancings, real estate finance and corporate lending.

Lindsey completed her training contract with one of Northern Ireland’s largest commercial firms and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She subsequently practiced as a senior associate in the finance teams of both a leading Irish law firm and Magic Circle law firm.

Lindsey is dual qualified to practice in Northern Ireland and England and Wales.

Lindsey’s previous experience includes advising:

  • the joint supervisors of the first scheme of arrangement in Northern Ireland and the subsequent wind down of a substantial loan book

  • the joint administrators of a group companies in relation to the sale of 13 trading pubs in Northern Ireland

  • numerous administrators on pre-pack sales processes

  • various officeholders on a number of high value reviewable transactions

  • a lender in relation to the £24.6m refinance of an iconic Belfast landmark

  • a borrower in relation to the development financing of a £45m office development in Belfast city centre.
