Ross founded RW Davidson Solicitors (now Davidson McDonnell) in February 2013 as a specialist commercial property legal practice. Prior to that, Ross commenced his legal training with a leading City of London firm in 2001 and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2003. Following qualification Ross practiced as an associate solicitor in the firm’s award winning Commercial Property Group. In 2006 Ross returned to Northern Ireland to join the Belfast office of a major Irish law firm and was appointed as a Partner in 2008. Ross remains qualified in both Northern Ireland and England & Wales and specialises in all aspects of commercial property law advising on acquisitions and disposals, lettings, development and joint venture arrangements, construction, property management and secured lending transactions.
David is qualified to practise in Northern Ireland, England and Wales. David trained at a large commercial firm in Manchester qualifying in 2003 and then worked at one of the large commercial firms in Belfast where he was made Partner in 2010. He then joined one of the major Irish law firms in Belfast as Partner in their Real Estate team. In July 2015 David joined with Ross Davidson to expand the niche real estate firm that Ross founded in 2013. David regularly advises on high value real estate transactions in Northern Ireland, England and Wales. David’s experience includes advising clients on acquisition, disposal, leasing and development of assets. David has also significant experience in property finance transactions having spent 2 years on secondment with one of the local Northern Irish banks earlier in his career.
Vicky qualified in 2002 in one of Northern Ireland’s leading commercial firms and was appointed as a Partner in its corporate department in 2010. Having built a strong reputation in the Northern Irish market, Vicky went on to work on a consultancy basis for leading and emerging commercial firms in Belfast. This allowed her to service her well established client base while helping those firms to build and diversify their corporate offerings. Vicky works with clients of all sizes, at all stages of growth, across all sectors. She has extensive experience of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital funding, management buy outs, corporate restructuring, shareholder matters, commercial agreements, and corporate governance issues.
Clare qualified in 1997, after training and working at a large Northern Irish Law Firm until 2005, being made Partner in 2003. She then worked at one of the large commercial firms in Belfast for over a decade. Clare has 20 years’ experience in handling commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters for clients in all industry sectors, from sole traders to multi-national companies. Clare specialises in breach of contract, insolvency and debt recovery, shareholder disputes, financial services disputes, professional negligence, construction disputes, planning and land law matters and landlord and tenant issues. Clare has particular experience in mediation and ADR, providing clients with a cost effective alternative to traditional litigation. Clare joined Davidson McDonnell in July 2016 to deliver a commercial dispute resolution provision and to expand the service offering available to existing clients of the firm.
Emma graduated from Cambridge University in 2011 with a BA in Law. Emma commenced her training contract in September 2012 with a large commercial firm in Belfast, qualifying into the Commercial Property department in September 2014. She joined Davidson McDonnell in August 2016 and has experience in a range of real estate matters including the sale and purchase of commercial and residential property, acquisition of development sites and commercial leasing transactions.
Michaela graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in July 2013 with a first class honours degree in Law. In September 2013, she joined one of the major Irish law firms in Belfast as a trainee and in July 2015 graduated from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies with a Distinction. In September 2015 she joined Davidson McDonnell where she regularly advises on real estate transactions in Northern Ireland, including the acquisition, leasing and disposal of high value assets and residential property. Michaela also has considerable experience in corporate and finance transactions having acted in these areas during her training.
Louise graduated from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in July 2013 with a 2:1 LLB Honours degree in Law with Politics. She is an experienced conveyancing paralegal having worked for a year and a half on repossession sales in the Belfast office of one of the leading Irish law firms and also gained experience in the enforcement side of litigation proceedings. Prior to moving to Davidson McDonnell in September 2015, she was a Legal and Compliance Business Analyst for one of the leading global financial specialist firms, where she worked primarily on client site on loan portfolio sale transactions for a major Irish bank.
